Another idea we discussed was - Explain ‘Energy’! what it takes to produce a plastic container, kettle etc. Resources are now limited – why?
Explain the fact that what is now available was produced using ‘cheap’ resources and how important it is to consider the alternatives.

Investment News / Opportunities – Invest in environmentally friendly resources as opposed to the collapsing financial economy.

Employment / Career / Job opportunities - choosing new employment, or creating opportunities to enhance income closing to home, thereby more cost effective travel, less stress.
“What does your community need & how can you provide it”? Assess your own skills; Create your own income by doing something you are passionate about, but at the same time providing an essential service or product.
Limited scope in high finance. Encourage future generations to investigate careers which are more practical in terms of making sustainable living the focus. With emphasis on the Food industry. Target Young adult/ teen scene.

initiate; where it can be obtained, what the cost effectiveness is; how long-term savings make it a worthwhile investment/necessity;

What the alternatives are to ‘western medicine’? Plant it, Grow it! Use it!

Planting by the moon. Possibly remind readers how effective the ‘ways of old’ were/are in that they revolved around planting around the cycles of the moon.

Getting Real – Feature a particular group/community/person that has made self-sufficiency / sustainable living a way of life.
A case study of ‘why it works’!

‘Just You’ – focus on spiritual growth in terms of coping skills, stress relief, “does the moon affect your mood”, creating positive energy and

Feedback/Surveys from ‘Real people’ – propose a request form initially, then publish reader comments, personal experiences, viable solutions/tips etc.

Eco-Kidz – I propose two sections/pages which capture age appropriate audiences of both 5-9 & 10–14yrs.
The first being more graphic orientated, but will also appeal to the 2nd audience on a baser level. I propose ‘the lesson’ to be hidden herein.
The latter more practical in terms of what they can get involved in/do, on their own or with minimal supervision) to ‘make a difference’ to their community, their environment, etc.
Will look at future articles focused on the teen scene! “Growing your own doobie without mum finding it” (wink!)
